GUWAHATI: The Assam government has allowed the coaching institutions in the districts where active COVID-19 cases have touched 100-mark to run with 50 per cent attendance.
In the order issued by the secondary education department on Thursday, the institutions have been asked to make online classes available wherever necessary.
On the other hand, female teaching and non-teaching staff who are pregnant or having children of 5 years or bellow will be exempted to attend educational and coaching institutions.
Sharing the order on Twitter, Assam health, finance and education minister tweeted, “In continuation of our earlier notice on districts over 100 cases, today Govt has ordered that coaching institutes shall run with 50% capacity. Also women teaching / non-teaching staff with children below 5 yrs shall be exempted from attending schools/coaching”
