Assam: 391 students reach Guwahati from Kota, Himanta Biswa Sarma receives at Sarusajai

GUWAHATI: A group of Assam students stranded in Kota in Rajasthan reached Guwahati  on Monday night. The group of 391 children was brought to their home state by some AC buses. All the students have been kept under quarantine at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati.

Meanwhile, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with his deputy Pijush Hazarika received them at around 3 AM at Sarusajai and made necessary arrangements. The state government played an instrumental role in bringing back the teenagers stranded in Kota.

“After a long journey from Kota 391 children are back, with smiles & cheers. To ensure they & their families remain safe, we are putting them into 14-day quarantine. Today around 3 am, I &  @Pijush_hazarika received them and ensured smooth shifting at Sarusajai Sports Complex,” Dr. Sarma Tweeted.
