Assam: 2nd day of BJP-allies crucial meet begins: review of past one year & planning for next

Guwahati: As the second day of the two-day-long crucial meeting of the ruling BJP party with its allies started, massive preparations have been undertaken in Assam’s Kaziranga for the crucial round of talks and review of the past year of the BJP government in Assam.

The meet assumes significance as this comes ahead of the completion of one year by the Himanta Biswa Sarma government on May 10.

As per schedule, talks were slated to begin from 9:45 in the morning at the Borgos Resort which will see Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma engage in day-long talks with MLAs from the ruling BJP and its allies the AGP and the UPPL.

The talks today will see the Chief Minister conducting a review of all the important schemes and steps that were undertaken by the government in the past year.

Apart from the review meeting, planning will also be done for the next year in which a brainstorming session would be held. An orientation program would also be held later in the day where issues of governance would be deliberated upon by the MLAs.
