GUWAHATI: The total number of recovered COVID-19 patients in Assam reached 63,120 with the discharge of 2,772 more patients from different hospitals and COVID-19 care centres on Thursday. So far, Assam has recorded 86,052 Coronavirus cases. At present, the active cases count stands at 22,70,8.
“So many recovered patients today surely a matter of satisfaction. Feeling happy. Proud of our doctors,”stated health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet.
On the other hand, 1,735 fresh cases were reported in the state on Thursday. Eight more persons also succumbed to the infection. The death toll is now 221.
