Assam: 26 KMSS workers join BJP

GUWAHATI: As many as 26 workers of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a function held at the Assam state BJP headquarters in Guwahati on Monday.

Assam state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi, top BJP leaders Bijan Mahajan and Swapnaneel Baruah welcomed the newly joined members to the party.

The newly inducted BJP members include several top functionaries of the KMSS. 

“Our Karyakartas work together, they do not work under anyone. Therefore, BJP is called a party with difference. There is no dynasty politics in BJP like Congress,” state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass said in his speech at the event.

Earlier in the last week, singer Simanta Sekhar, flutist Dipak Sarma and several other professionals from entertainment industry joined the BJP in presence of Ranjeet Kumar Dass and other leaders.
