Asha Workers to get additional incentive of Rs 1,000

GUWAHATI: The Asha workers, frontline warriors of the battle against Coronavirus will be paid an additional incentive of Rs. 1,000 for next three months.

Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed media persons that according to the directive of prime minister Narendra Modi Asha workers would be paid the additional incentives for next three months.

Addressing a press meet in Guwahati on Wednesday, minister Sarma said that the health department is ready to fight against Covid-19. The department has released 9 thousand PPE, 80 thousand N-95 masks and 8 lakh three-layer masks for the doctors and health workers.

He also stated that so far 6252 people contributed a total of Rs. 8,28,53, 926 to Argya Nidhi.
