Anaya Brahma enthralls audience with Bodo-Punjabi fusion

GUWAHATI: The newly released video song of popular singer and performer Anaya Brahma has garnered adoration from the audience. In the new song ‘Sunu powder / Lathe di chadar’, Anaya has tried to blend Bodo and Punjabi folk music. Anaya who hails from Assam is currently based in Mumbai.

“This song is an attempt to keep our folk music alive for the new generation and take it to a global platform by blending with other  traditional songs,” she said.

The lyrics and tune of the Bodo part of the song are credited to Soniram Dewry. The blending of traditional Punjabi song with that of Bodos gives a pure musical taste to the listeners.

Anaya has so many popular numbers to her credit including Aio Haima, Amai Jumai, Ambu Bongla etc.
