Assam: Amit Shah, JP Nadda inaugurate new BJP office in Guwahati

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national President JP Nadda inaugurated the new state office in Guwahati’s Basistha on Saturday.

Several leaders, including Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal were also present during the ceremony.

This office will be recognized as the biggest office in the Northeast and will serve as the party’s headquarters in the region.

Taking to Twitter CM Sarma wrote, “

A milestone for BJP as Adarniya @BJP4India Pres Shri @JPNadda ji & Adarniya HM Shri @AmitShah ji inaugurated Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the new Head Office of @BJP4Assam at Basistha, Guwahati. This’ll surely play a crucial role in further growth of our party in Assam & beyond.”

The state-of-the-art six-story Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan has all the modern amenities including conference and meeting halls. 

The building is built over an area of one lakh square feet and will have state-of-the-art facilities with a guest house and a modern media centre.

As per officials, the building can accommodate 5,000 people at once.

The new structure, valued atRs 25 crore, has been built with donations from party workers, another top party leader added.
