Guwahati: Akshay Kumar today released the trailer of his upcoming film Bell Bottom at an event in Delhi. The actor was accompanied by his leading ladies Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta, who play pivotal roles in the film. Apart from them, the film also stars Huma Qureshi. Bell Bottom is set to release in theatres in 3D on August 19.
The trailer of Bell Bottom was released on Tuesday (August 3). Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta flew down to Delhi to launch the trailer along with announcing the reopening of theatres in the city. Producers Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh also accompanied the actors.
In the trailer, Akshay Kumar, a RAW agent is tasked with bringing a stop to airplane hijacks happening in India. He sets out on the mission and does everything to save his country. The synopsis of the film reads, “Amongst multiple heinous airplane hijacks, India was made to face another such challenge in 1984. BellBottom, a RAW agent played by Akshay Kumar sees through the plan and thus, begins India’s first covert operation. A story based on true events, led by BellBotom, that went on to create one of the most defining moments of the country.”
