GUWAHATI: Guwahati businessman Ajit Das was kidnapped on Wednesday(23 June) from his residence at Paltanbazar railway colony in Guwahati. Ajit was later rescued by the Police Team from Jagiroad area where he was held captive.
Ajit’s wife on Tuesday described the entire kidnapping incident to News Live. She said, “A group of five people came to our house on Wednesday morning at around 06: 45 AM. They used a scale to open the locked door. They thrashed me and I fell down. They pulled Ajit and took him with them, when we asked the culprits they said that they were taking Ajit to Police Station for questioning. The man who took Ajit from home was wearing a black dress and had a pistol attached to his waist. They came in a car and took him within minutes.”
She added, “Ajit is a businessman. He looks after the VIP parking here. They came in Police dress so we didn’t even expect that someone was planning to kidnap him. We thought that Police might have taken him for some reason, but when he did not come back we went to the Police Station to file an FIR. After the rescue, Police later brought him home and again took him back for investigation. We don’t know where Police have kept him now.”
It is to be mentioned that Police have apprehended four including three police personnel in connection with the case and Ajit is with the Police and investigation is going on.
