Carrying on its relentless effort to curb corruption in the state, The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam on Monday arrested a government official from Kamrup DC office on bribery charges.
The arrested government official was identified as Dipankar Kalita, Assistant District Commissioner, Kamrup.
According to sources, Kalita was caught red handed while demanding for bribe to pass a government project file.
Further investigation underway.
