Himanta Biswa Sarma campaigns for Jayanta Malla Baruah at Nalbari

GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader and NEDA convener Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday addressed a public gathering in Assam’s Nalbari. Sarma was seen campaigning for Jayanta Malla Baruah who is contesting from 59 Nalbari L.A.C under Bharatiya Janata Party’s banner.

“Nalbari’s development has always been important for our govt. Renovation of schools and tackling the flood problem are our priorities.

Our candidate Shri @jayanta_malla will work wholeheartedly for Nalbari’s development. @AssamElections2021,” Tweeted Himanta Biswa Sarma.

 

Jayanta Malla Baruah is the former chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC).

Born on October 23, 1971, Jayanta Malla Baruah is a graduate from B. Barooah College in Guwahati. Baruah won from the Nalbari constituency in 2011 with over 8000 votes defeating Alaka Sarma of Assam Gana Parishad(AGP).

Later, in 2015 Baruah joined BJP, and this year he is contesting on a BJP ticket from the Nalbari constituency.
