Translated by Himanta Biswa Sarma, Amit Shah’s biography released in Assamese

GUWAHATI: A biography on union home minister Amit Shah which was translated by Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma from English into Assamese has been released today at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Guwahati. The biography titled ‘Amit Shah aru Agragami BJP’ was translated into Assamese from original English ‘Amit Shah and the March of BJP’.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal released the book in the presence of NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, DoNER minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, BJP’s Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, BJP national general secretary Dilip Saikia, state president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, original writers of the bookAnirban Ganguly and Shiwanand Dwivedi.

“In my personal experiences, in interacting with honourable Amit Shah ji, he is one of the most well-read persons that I have met in politics,” said BJP national vice president Baijayant Panda.

“This is equally impressive that for the kind of time Himanta ji has devoted to politics, continues to devote on a 24×7 basis, to be able to devote any additional time to authorship and translation is mind-boggling for me,” he added.

In his speech, Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal appreciated the contributions of Amit Shah to the country. He also hailed minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for translating the book. 

Speaking on the occassion, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma deliberated the profound knowledge Amit Shah has on civilisation and culture of the country and Assam.
