Guwahati: In view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar have been declared a containment zone on Wednesday.
On Wednesday an official circular issued by the District Magistrate Kokrajhar stated, ” In view of detection of five COVID-19 positive cases from Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar. It is fell necessary to immediately seal the entire campus of the Institution to arrest the spread of COVID-19 in the interest of public health.
The schedule of the sealed geographical area is indicated below:
ENTIRE CAMPUS OF CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (CIT), KOKRA.JHAR. In view of the seali1ng of the area as indicated above. the following restrictions are imposed.
1. No entry and exit of the population will be allowed.
2. Vehicular movement is to be strictly prohibited. Al statutory and other directions regarding maintenance of social distancing will be strictly enforced
This order is made under the regulations The Assam COVID-19 Regulations. 2020 and shall be
effective from 6 PM of 24th February 2021 to until further order.”
