Guwahati: Union Agriculture Minister and BJP’s election in-charge of the poll-bound Assam Narendra Singh Tomar launched mobile app ‘My BJP’ during a party meeting in Guwahati on Thursday.
While addressing the launch program Narendra Singh Tomar said, “Due to pro-incumbency, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win Assam Assembly polls and form the government in the state again. We will meet every voter on the voter list and understand their minds and for this particular thing we shouldn’t waste any time and reach every voter”.
The meeting was attended by State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and BJP national vice-president Baijayant Jay Panda, BJP general secretary and MP Dilip Saikia.
Narendra Singh Tomar was felicitated with a Jaapi Dass at the release of the mobile app for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.
It is pertinent to note that the state BJP, which has already come up with a massive plan to win 100+ seats, has this time prepared a special blueprint for its own supporters as well as opposition supporters. To this end, the ruling party has already planned to visit every family in each of the booths through a program titled Pariyal Samparka Abhiyaan (Connecting to the Families).
In order to expedite the implementation of this plan in the run-up to the elections, BJP voters will meet each and every voter in each polling station in person.
In the launch program Narendra Singh Tom called on the party workers to work for this purpose and directed the BJP workers to make all possible efforts to double the number of votes cast in each party in the last election.
On the other hand, state BJP president Ranjit Das, who was also present at the launch program, called upon the party workers to work harder to achieve the BJP’s target of 100+ seats.
The ruling party has already launched a series of reviews on the issue of selection of candidates and distribution of seats.
Narendra Singh Tomar also made it clear that the BJP would aim to win more seats through the alliance.
Tomar added, “Due to pro-incumbency, BJP will win more seats in the Assembly polls in Assam. People of Assam have witnessed what was happening 5 years ago. Instead of anti-incumbency, pro-incumbency is being seen in Assam. This is a very good sign for BJP and I am hopeful that BJP will succeed in forming the government again.”
The Minister said the state government, led by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, has been pushing for development in its five-year tenure. And under the leadership of Chief Minister Sonowal and NEDA convener Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the state is now on the path of development and progress. With this development, the BJP will be able to win 100+ seats very easily.
The BJP has taken a more aggressive stance in the by-elections, ignoring the opposition’s call. The ruling party, which has already completed all plans and preparations for a second term to come into power will take a special step to reach out to the electorate this time around.
It is to be noted that there is a possibility of the announcement of the poll dates in the current month.
