GUWAHATI: “Because of Modiji, we have succeeded in fighting COVID-19, we have transformed Assam. Because of Modiji, today Assam is among the 5 strongest states of India,” said Assam health, finance and education minister at Dhekijuli in Sonitpur district.
Expressing gratitude to PM Modi for the affection he has showered on Assam, Sarma stated that today is a day of pride for Assam.
“Today is a day of pride for Assam. During the term of our state government, medical colleges have been set-up at Dhubri, Nalbari, Nagaon, Kokrajhar, North Lakhimpur, Tinsukia and Diphu. PM Modi provided Rs. 180 crore for each of these medical colleges,” said Sarma.
“Today we take pride that from July, we don’t need to visit AIIMS in Delhi. PM Modi has given us AIIMS at Changsari. The functioning of AIIMS will start from July,” he added further.
