GUWAHATI: Popular Bollywood singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta has condoled the demise of former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi’s demise.
Taking to Twitter, Papon wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of former CM and a dynamic political leader of Assam, Shri #TarunGogoi. He will remembered as one of the most successful CM ever. May god give strength to the family. My Prayers for his departed soul.”

The Congress strongman passed away at 5.34 PM at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday.
Gogoi served Assam as its chief minister from 2001 to 2016 which made him longest-serving CM of the state.
