Guwahati: After a long wait of 7 months, schools in India have finally started to reopen. And soon, Kendriya Vidyalaya’s or KVs would be leading the reopening of schools in India.
As schools in India start to reopen, KVs are also planning to reopen the schools from November 2 across India. At present, there are 1250 KVs with 15 lakh students across India.
As per the information shared, KVs are planning to reopen schools across India from November 2, 2020. The process to assess the situation has started and reports are being collected. The schools would initially reopen for students of classes 9 to 12.
With the nod received from the Central Government, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education, the central schools have started collecting feedback from the stakeholders. There are a total of 1250 KVs and 650 JNVs in the country in which about 15 lakh students are enrolled. JNV – notably, are residential schools and would also require to follow the SOPs for Hostels along with the other guidelines as issued by the Central Government.
