Guwahati: Details of Maligaon flyover

GUWAHATI: The Assam government will construct state’s longest flyover at Maligaon in Guwahati. Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, public works department (PWD) and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma formally kicked-off the construction of the longest flyover in the state.

The Assam government will construct the 2992-metre-long flyover from Maligaon towards Kamakhya Gate with a diversion from Maligaon towards Pandu. The  two-lane flyover will be constructed with a cost of Rs. 420.75 crore from State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) fund 2020-21 within 36 months. It is expected that the flyover will reduce the traffic congestion in the city.
