Guwahati: Amid the raging Coronavirus pandemic, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli tied the knot on Wednesday in a simple ceremony following all the COVID-19 protocols.
The DC got married to Aditya Sashikant, a businessman, at her official bungalow in Silchar, the district headquarters .
Aditya reached Silchar a few days before the wedding took place and was quarantined as per the COVID-19 guidelines.
It was a low key affair and was attended by only a few select officials and individuals. Due to Covid-19 measures, only Jalli’s sister could attend the wedding from her family’s side.
A day after her wedding, Jalli was back on duty on Thursday and went to the Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) to inspect work on the construction of an ICU unit for Covid-19 patients.
