Guwahati: A team of Assam Police on Tuesday night recovered 7.65 mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition at Kaliabhumuara Bridge in Sonitpur district.
Acting on a special tip, a team of Assam Police arrested a man from the Kaliabhumuara Bridge and recovered 7.65 mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition from him.
The accused has been identified as Anisur Zaman. He is the son late Noor Islam of Rupohi in Nagaon district.
According to the police Anisur did have some kind of malicious intent when the police nabbed him. He was coming back from Tezpur.
