GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Traffic Police has been acting tough against sound pollution caused by the silencer modification of motorcycles. The city traffic police on Tuesday launched drive against noise pollution caused by the unauthorised modifications in vehicle’s exhaust.
The traffic police carried out drives in several areas of the city against such unauthorised activities which cause sound pollution.
Under the Motor Vehicle Act, such activities are punishable with Rs. 10 thousand fine.
