GUWAHATI: Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a smuggler along with 3,620 Yaba tablets from Kubegaon-II village in Mankachar of Assam’s South Salamara district on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, BSF troops of Kakripara border out post of 06 Bn BSF carried out special joint operation with Mankachar police apprehended the smuggler and seized the contraband.
The consignment was being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
“The name of apprehended person is Papu Miya, 30 yrs, S/o- Mofiul Haq of village Kubegaon-II, PS-Mankachar, Dist – South Salamara (Assam),” public relations officer (PRO) of BSF Guwahati Frontier stated in a press release.
