GUWAHATI: One more COVID19 patient has been discharged from Silchar Medical College and Hospital on Saturday. The patient named Sajibur Rahman has been discharged after 3 successive tests reported negative. After his discharge, the person has been sent for home quarantine. With this the total number of cured persons in the state has reached 12.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, his deputy Pijush Hazarika, Assam excise minister Parimal Suklabaidya and Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Ray were present during the discharge of the patient.
Earlier on the day, two patients— Md. Arshad and Md. Rizuwan were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati. The state reported a total of 34 COVID19 cases. Among them, one died on April 10. As of now there are 21 active cases in Assam.
