GUWAHATI: Assam health department has exclusively prepared Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati for Coronavirus treatment. The hospital on a war footing has set-up 12-bed fully-equipped ICU unit to deal with Covid-19.
Visiting the MMCH on Saturday, health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed satisfaction over the preparedness of the hospital to deal with any crisis situation.
“I am so pleasantly surprised to see that since my last visit here on March 25, authorities at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati, have set up 12-bed fully-equipped ICU unit. My finest commendation to Dr Abhijit Sarma & team for this,” minister Sarma tweeted.

On the other hand, 140 isolation wards have been set-up at MMCH.
