GUWAHATI: In a video which has gone viral on Social Media, a group of young men has been seen shouting “Coronavirus go back” slogan during Holi celebration at a village in Assam.
As the Coronavirus fear has hit the state, the group of young boys played Holi with mud and water. They raised slogans like “Coronavirus go back”, “Coronavirus lei lei sei sei (Go away Coronavirus)”, “Tumi Jodi Asomiya amar logot jog diya (If you were an Assamese join with us).”
These are the popular slogans chanted in protest rallies by influential organisations like All Assam Students’ Union (AASU). However, this time as the Coronavirus scare has hit the Holi festivity, these young men decided to chant slogans against the deadly disease.
On the other hand, seeking the Almighty’s blessings to save everyone from COVID-19, puja was performed at Silchar town on Monday.
