GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Mangaldai Lok Sabha constituency Dilip Saikia has alleged that All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) doesn’t represent indigenous people of Assam, but the people with suspected citizenship.

“AIUDF doesn’t represent the indigenous people of Assam. They represent the suspected citizens who settled in Assam a few years ago and got their names enrolled in voter’s list,” Saikia said.

He also claimed that the alliance between Congress and AIUDF for Rajya Sabha elections in Assam has proved long-time relationship between the two parties.

“They have proved that Congress and AIUDF are the two sides of the same coin. There was a tactical understanding between Congress and AIUDF to ensure Gaurav Gogoi and some other candidates’ victory in Lok Sabha elections,” BJP MP Saikia alleged.
