GUWAHATI/DHEMAJI: “Dhemaji Engineering College will offer courses in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical branches from the upcoming academic year,” said Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah.
Visiting the construction site of Dhemaji Engineering College at Tekjuri which is 12 KM away from Dheamji town, Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah said that the the first session of classes would begin from August this year.
Baruah expressed his satisfaction over the infrastructure of the Engineering College and said that the All India Council for Technical Education team would visit the college soon.
On the other hand, Dhemaji MLA Ranoj Pegu said, “The foundation stone of Dhemaji Enginnering College was laid in 2011 but there was no progress till 2016. After Sarbananda Sonowal came to power, it is under the initiative of minister Dr. Himanta Sarma required fund was granted. Practically we have constructed the college within three years.”
