Prices of petrol and diesel have hit record high with state-owned oil companies hiking prices for the ninth straight day.
According to the IOCL website, both petrol and diesel prices were also raised across the country on Tuesday with price of a litre of petrol in Guwahati increasing to Rs 79.03, an increase of 31 paise from yesterday’s price of Rs 78.72.
On the other hand, diesel prices also went up by 28 paise in Guwahati, reaching Rs 71.07 today from Monday’s price of Rs 70.79 per litre.

People, meanwhile, have slammed the government as well as oil companies for hiking petrol and diesel prices that have seen an increase of around Rs 2 per litre in the past one week alone.
