Several localities of Guwahati experienced severe waterlogging after heavy rains lashed the city today morning.
Chandmari, Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar, localities in Beltola and Hatigaon along with a few other thoroughfares experienced waterlogging issues following the rains.
The morning showers hit school and college going students along with officegoers the most as people found it difficult to reach their destinations on time.
A few schools reportedly announced a holiday in the wake of the flash flood.
“It’s a regular affair during the monsoons. You have a smart shower and Nabin Nagar and Anil Nagar get flooded. Water enter our houses. Our lives have become virtual hell. We want respite from this problem,” a resident of Anil Nagar told News Live.
