GUWAHATI, Feb 26: Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, called on Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan, Gangtok, today (February 26).
During the course of her meeting with the Sikkim Governor, she discussed issues relating to healthcare in the State, besides also discussing measures taken to strengthen medical infrastructure and improving healthcare services for the people of Sikkim.
Earlier on Tuesday, Ms Patil chaired a district-level review meeting at Pakyong in Sikkim and reviewed implementation of various central government health schemes.
During the review meeting held at the Pakyong District panchayat auditorium, necessary guidelines were given to ensure easy access of schemes by the citizens and that beneficiaries get maximum benefits from them. She also discussed the challenges faced in effective implementation of the schemes.
