Zubeen Garg had earlier stirred a massive row after he reportedly made disparaging remarks against the Brahmin community and even stated that Brahmins should be killed.
The rant, made during an event in Guwahati, stirred a row with several police cases lodged against him at various police stations across the State.
Amid the statewide furore, Zubeen Garg claimed his comment was taken out of context and that he had only meant that the society should be a classless one and everyone should be equal.
