GUWAHATI, Feb 7: After a brief lull, educational institutions in the national capital region have received threats about bombs being planted in their campuses sending police into a tizzy yet again as searches were conducted although nothing suspicious was found.

E-mail threats were received by Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Shiv Nadar School in Noida, along with St. Stephen’s College, on Friday.

The two schools informed parents and guardians about the bomb threat and taking measures to ensure everyone’s safety.

“We are closing the campus down for the day to conduct complete a sweep to ensure safety of all,” a message from one of the school read.

“Today at 07:42 am a bomb threat via email was received to St. Stephen’s College. Our Bomb Disposal Team is at the spot,” a statement by Delhi Police stated.

Today’s development comes after a 15-year-old Class 9 student was earlier held for sending the hoax mails so as to avoid sitting in exams.
