GUWAHATI, Feb 6: Olympic bronze medalist shuttler Saina Nehwal visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj along with her father on Wednesday evening and took the holy dip in the river Ganga.
Saina described the Maha Kumbh as the world’s largest spiritual gathering while saying that she felt fortunate enough to be part of the event.
“I have come to the Triveni Sangam and it is a huge festival. I am fortunate that I got the opportunity to come here… I am happy that everyone became united and showed how strong we can be… I have come with my father. There is no other spiritual festival in the world similar to this… I am very proud that it is happening in our country… I pray that our nation progresses more and more..,” news agency ANI quoted her as saying.
