GUWAHATI, Oct 16: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) will put up candidate in Samuguri constituency in the Nov 13 by-polls. This was announced by party supremo Badruddin Ajmal in Guwahati today (Oct 16).
“We will contest in only Samuguri constituency in the upcoming by-polls. Many party leaders have applied for the ticket. We will announce the name of the candidate in 2-3 days,” Ajmal said.
By-elections in 47 assembly constituencies across the country — including the five constituencies of Bongaigaon, Sidli, Behali, Samaguri and Dholai in Assam — will be held on Nov 13.
Results will be declared on Nov 23, the Election Commission of India announced yesterday.
