‘Lachit The Warrior’ wins Best Animation Award at 12th Delhi Shorts Int’l Film Fest

GUWAHATI, Oct 29: ‘Lachit The Warrior’, the short film made on the life of legendary Ahom General Lachit Borphukan, has won the Best Animation Award at 12th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival.

The biopic short movie has been directed by DIG of Assam Police Partha Sarathi Mahanta who is also the Special Task Force (STF) chief and produced by Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah.

The short film had earlier won the Best Animation Film Award at the 7th Chambal International Film Festival.

It has also been selected by the Indian Panorama for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2023 and will be showcased at the 54th IFFI to be held from Nov 20-28, 2023, in Goa.

The short film was first screened in New Delhi on November 25 last year during the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of the legendary Ahom General.
