89th annual session of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha starts in Golaghat

GUWAHATI: The 89th annual session of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha has started in Dihingiya Mohura Pothar of Kamargaon in Golaghat.

Devotees from all over the state have started arriving in large numbers at the venue that has been named as ‘Heritage Kaziranga Samannay Kshetra’.

According to the organizers a total of 30 to 40 lakh bhakats (devotees) will take part in this four-day event concluding on 8 February. Also, devotees and foreign tourists are expected to arrive from Japan and Italy.
