8-year-old Gunjan Sinha from Guwahati wins Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10

Gunjan Sinha of Guwahati won Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa season 10 after beating actor Rubina Dilaik and Faisal Shaikh in the finale. The eight-year-old lifted the winner’s trophy along with her partner Tejas Verma and choreographer Sagar Bora and also took home a cash prize of ₹20 lakh. While Faisal was declared the first runner-up, Rubina was the second runner-up. 

Among the other celebrities, who participated on the show, were Ali Asgar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Dutee Chand, Nia Sharma, Nishant Bhat, Niti Taylor, Paras Kalnawat, Shilpa Shinde and Sriti Jha. The show had filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Madhuri Dixit and actor-dancer Nora Fatehi as the judges.

Gunjan Sinha and her team was elated on her win and posed with the judges and the trophy after the finale. She said she now wants to represent India on an international platform.

‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’ premiered on September 3 with 15 celebrity contestants, who were judged by Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar, and dancer-actress Nora Fatehi. Comedian Maniesh Paul hosted the show.

During the finale, even as the contestants presented their best performances, ‘Bhediya’ cast members Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon appeared as celebrity guests.

Gunjan, who has participated in other dance reality shows, including ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’, expressed her excitement and said: “I am taking back a lot from the show. Many moments and memories will remain with me. My partner Tejas Verma and choreographer Sagar Bora kept inspiring me to perform well.” She added: “I learned a lot from the judges and Madhuri ma’am has always been my idol when it comes to dancing.” Gunjan also said that since the beginning her favourite dance form has been hip-hop and that she has been passionate about dancing since the age of five. She now wants to make a career out of dance. And as she declared: “I want to be the best dancer.” ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’ aired on Colors.
