Guwahati: For Assam health authorities, Monday brought good news as a 65-year-old woman tested negative for Covid-19 and was discharged from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta.
Monowara Khanam, a heart patient from Dhubri tested COVID-19 positive on August 15 and was admitted in the ICU of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta.
“I am feeling good today. I was treated well. Everything in this hospital is good,”said Monowara Khanam.
“My mother has tremendous mental strength. When we brought her to the hospital, she told us not to worry. Sometimes, a doctor is made to work for 16 hours. It is impossible to work for such a duration in a PPE kit. I have seen them working so I understand how hard they are working,” said the patient’s attendant.
Khanam had a surgery and a Pacemaker was implanted 17 years ago.
