Zubeen Garg reveals why he hugged CM Sonowal in Filmfare event

PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI: Singing sensation Zubeen Garg on Wednesday stated that he hugged Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal during the Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020 because he thinks of the chief minister as his elder brother. Zubeen said that hugging someone doesn’t change anything. Zubeen was attending an inaugural function of a hotel in the city and interacted with the media.

“I don’t know if I will support new parties. I am always alone. I will never create or join any political party,” said Zubeen Garg replying to a question on supporting a political party.

He added, “BJP has a lot of money. They will flourish money but we can’t. Let the CAA issue resolve first than we will think of this. Exams are going on right now, if we will protest now, it will hamper the students’ studies. So, let the exams finish, after that we will do the required. Anyway, the protest against CAA is going on.”

Replying to another question Zubeen Garg said, “Once I sang for Congress and once for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). I am not going to do that ever again.”
