Guwahati: Nagaon Police on Sunday arrested a youth for making indecent remarks against Assamese actress turned politician Angoorlata Deka, MLA of Batadrava constituency in Assam.
The culprit has been identified as Abhinandan Nath, a resident of Upper Doomdoomia .
According to Nagaon Police, Abhinandan has made inappropriate comments against MLA Angoorlata Deka from his fake Facebook profile.
On Saturday, BJP member Bhaskar Barai lodged a complaint with Nagaon Police Station in this regard. Following that Nagaon Police registered a case and started investigation.
Police arrested Abhinandan Nath of Upper Dumdumiya and questioned another young man named Gambhir Bora of Auniati.
