GUWAHATI: The 4th edition of World Bicycle Day is coming up on 3rd June 2021 and the Guwahati Active Mobility Forum with the support of Pedal for a Change is organizing a writing and painting competition to celebrate the occasion.
The topic is “Cycling City of My Dreams”. Anyone from class 5 and above can participate in the event. There are three categories – SubJuniors: Class 5 to 10, Juniors: 11 to Graduation, Seniors: PG and above.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us deeply and has forced us to stay home to stay safe. We are not able to go out on big cycle rides nor can we organize big cycling events like we used to. However, as cycle lovers, we all can celebrate World Bicycle Day even by staying indoors,” stated the press release.
Total gifts worth ₹ 10,000 including cycling accessories to be won by the best participants. Only original entries and only one entry per Participant will be accepted. For painting, good quality photo or scanned image needs to be sent to the email IDs mentioned below. The writeups need to be in the English language only and the word limits for the different categories are as follows: Juniors – 300, Seniors – 600, Masters – 1000.

Participants need to mention their full name, age, category and contact number in their entries. The winners will be announced on 6th June 2021 on the Facebook page of the Guwahati Active Mobility Forum.
