Guwahati: In a bit of relief, people working at the cremation ground will be given COVID-19 vaccines from today, informed Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
This decision was taken after Dr. Sarma made a visit at Ulubari Smasan (cremation ground) in Guwahati.
The vaccination will be given to the people working at Ulubari Smasan Ghat, Bhootnath Smasan and Athgaon Kabrastan considering them as COVID warriors.
The vaccination drive will start from today at Bhootnath Cremation ground.
