GUWAHATI, April 8: A woman in Noida who ordered veg biryani during Navratri via Swiggy but got chicken biryani instead has posted a video narrating her bitter experience prompting police to take the restaurant owner into custody.
The woman, identified as Chhaya Sharma, shared a tearful video in which she claimed that the restaurant intentionally sent her a non-vegetarian meal.
The woman said in the video that she had ordered a veg biryani from a restaurant named Lucknowi Kabab Paratha through Swiggy.
Chhaya Sharma said that she had taken a couple of bites after the biryani was delivered and then realised to her horror that it had meat in it.
“I am pure vegetarian and despite ordering veg biryani they have sent me this non-veg meal during Navaratri. This is intentional. How can they send non-veg food when I ordered veg biryani,” she stated.

The owner of Lucknowi Kabab Paratha was arrested after the video went viral prompting Noida Police to take action against him.
Meanwhile, netizens were divided over the arrest made by Noida Police with one section of internet users supporting the restaurant owner’s arrest while the other questioning why was there a need to arrest him over such an issue.
