Woman drowns in Ganga while making reel: A shocking video showing a woman getting washed away by river waters of the Ganga as she was trying to make a reel has shocked netizens.
The heartbreaking video shows the woman entering the river water at Manikarnika Ghat in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, as she tried to pose for the camera.
However, the smiles quickly faded as the strong water current swept the woman off her feet, and she was frantically seen trying to make it to the river bank but could not.
The woman’s daughter could be heard shouting “mummy, mummy…” but the water current had taken her away from the river bank.

The incident, reports said, took place on Monday (April 14) when the woman had come to visit Uttarkashi with her family.
Although authorities were informed about the tragic incident and despite a massive operation launched to rescue her, the woman could not be located till now.
Local administration authorities say the chances of rescuing the woman alive are very slim although they are continuing with the operations as SDRF divers are trying their best to find the woman alive or fish out the body in the worst case scenario.
The incident has reignited the debate about people risking lives for a few likes and comments on social media and the need to prioritise their safely while creating content for online use.
