With Huge Success In Steel Industry & Crypto, Vik Sharma Proves He Is One Of The Rare Forward Thinking Entrepreneurs Around

PUBLISHED:

There are three types of people in this world. Trendsetters, Trend followers and then those who are just too scared to start something new. Needless to say, forward thinkers or trendsetters always stay on the top. Among the rare forward thinkers that we have around, Vik Sharma is one.

The US-based entrepreneur is a graduate of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics. After completing his education, he started as the President of Sherman International Corporation and soon dived into the steel industry. As the Director of Liberty Steel Holdings, he became a huge name in the industry.

Even though Liberty is one of the biggest players in the US steel industry with annual revenues of over $1B, he has no plans to restrict himself. Passionate for crypto, Vik entered the blockchain world in 2018 as he launched Cake Wallet. The cryptocurrency wallet for Monero has over 250,000 users and has been expanding ever since its launch. Starting from Monero, it also works for Bitcoin and Litecoin now.

In the past few years, Cake Wallet has turned out to be a great option for those who love to deal with cryptocurrencies on a daily basis. It was the first open-source Monero wallet on IOS in 2018 and by early 2020 it became available on Android as well. The love for Cake Wallet among crypto users is such that in two recent Reddit polls, Monero users preferred Cake Wallet 2-1 over its closest competitor.

With Cake Wallet, Vik aims to bring crypto to the masses through a simple intuitive UI/UX for beginners yet robust features for more advanced users. It promises to add a lightning network for Bitcoin and MWEB for Litecoin in the future.

Being a forward thinker, Vik Sharma is always hungry for growth. He hopes to expand cryptocurrency services within Cake Wallet and dreams to make it the standard Monero wallet for everyone. Recently, Vik launched Blockbuy which aims to sell cryptocurrency with credit/debit cards.
