Manoj Muntashir, who wrote the dialogues of Adipurush, was severely criticised for his work on the Ramayan-inspired film. On Saturday, weeks after the film failed on the box office, Manoj took to social media and extended an unconditional apology, accepting that “people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush.”
Taking to Twitter, Manoj wrote, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.🙏.”

Manoj also wrote that he hopes to do better in the future and “serve our great nation.” Manoj, who is a revered lyricist, poet, dialogue writer and screenwriter has reportedly also penned the dialogues of Kangana Raanut’s upcoming film Sita as well.
Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, released in theatres last month. The film was quickly caught in controversy as it drew heavy criticism because of its dialogues and VFX. While the makers revised the dialogues after the first weekend, the damage was done and the film could never recover at the box office after that.
Adipurush, which was reportedly made on the budget of Rs 500 crore, managed to earn around Rs 133.54 crore nett at the domestic box-office, as per Bollywood Hungama.
