Will limit Cong-AIUDF to 22-23 seats in Assam says Ranjeet Dass

Guwahati:  Assam BJP President Ranjeet Kumar Dass claimed that the party won’t allow Congress AIUDF alliance to win more than 22-23 seats and the BJP with its allies will cross 100 seats in the coming Assam Legislative Assembly Elections.

While addressing a political meeting organized by Nagar Mandal at Ward No. 6 of Barpeta Road, BJP State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass stated that the Congress party is in favour of illegal foreigners and they have been doing this politics without any shame.

Dass said, “The BJP government objected to the final NRC after four days of its publication. The published NRC didn’t include names of lakhs of Indian citizens and had names of suspected citizens. We don’t support such NRC. But the Congress-AIUDF party tried various ways for its publication. Therefore, we have demanded that the responsibility be shifted to the state government so that a proper NRC can be prepared.”

Dass also claimed that 80 percent of the votes in Barpeta Road belonged to the BJP.

“We don’t need any leaders from other parties, we need cadres. Of course, student organizations are different. We will definitely win 100+ seats in the upcoming elections. If we add BJP’s 60 seats, AGP’s 14 seats and 12 seats with UPPL in BTC, plus new seats of Golaghat, Sibsagar, Nazira, Mariani and additional seats from Barak Valley, our tally will be above 100 seats,” said Dass.
