GUWAHATI: Dolly Gogoi, wife of former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi bid a tearful adieu to her late husband at the latter’s official residence at Dispur in Guwahati.
The mortal remains of Gogoi were brought to his official residence at the Minister’s Colony at Dispur from Srimanta Kalakshetra. Wife Doli Gogoi along with other family members paid their tributes to the veteran Congress leader.
In 1972, the Congress strongman married Dolly Gogoi, a post-graduate in Zoology from Gauhati University.
Besides his wife, Gogoi left behind son and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi, daughter Chandrika, daughter-in-law Elizabeth and grandchildren.
