GUWAHATI, Feb 16: Elon Musk has broken his silence following claims made by an influencer named Ashley St. Clair who said she had given birth to the 13th child five months ago.
Musk, who has 12 children from three women, responded on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote just one word — “Whoa” — in response to a post that accused St. Clair of plotting for years to “ensnare” him.
“I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” St. Clair reportedly wrote.
Musk had six children with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, who he met while attending Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and were latter married in 2000. His first child with Wilson — Nevada Musk — however died of sudden infant death syndrome.
He and Canadian musician Grimes, his former partner, have three children named X Æ A-12 (“X”), Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.
Musk reportedly fathered three children with Shivon Zilis, director of operations and special projects at Neuralink — twins born via IVF in 2021 and a child born in 2024 via surrogacy.
Musk was also married to English actress Talulah Riley with whom he reportedly tied the knot in 2008 before divorcing in 2012. He remarried her the following year but divorced her for the second time in 2016.
He had also reportedly dated American actress Amber Heard in 2017 before announcing in 2018 that he was dating Canadian musician and singer Grimes.
